Get to know your waterfront
The city comprehensive-plan map explicitly shows Goodland outside Marco Island’s city limits. Collier Parks places Goodland Boating Park on Goodland Bay at 740 Palm Point Drive, with a two-lane ramp and access toward the Ten Thousand Islands. MarGood Harbor Park at 321 Pear Tree Avenue has a canoe and kayak launch. Those are useful public landmarks, but a paddling launch, boat ramp and permitted construction staging area are different facilities.

Prepare a county scope rather than a city-form copy
Collier’s PRMAR application covers marine work including seawalls, docks, lifts and demolition. Its submittal guidance calls for signed and sealed site information including canal width and relevant shoreline or boundary references. Ask which construction plans apply to the proposed repair.
Goodland is also within the regional mangrove and estuarine setting discussed by the Rookery Bay plan. Include vegetation and the access route when asking DEP South District about the project.

Do not apply Marco Island’s $4.50-per-foot city permit rate to this county project. Request the county fee assessment and separate the marine-construction quote from ramp access and staging permissions.
